Pulse Code Modulation. It's not a term of "keyboard world", but rather digital sampling.

indeed pulse code modulation, in the keyboard world when you see a keyboard or synth that is based on PCM samples, then it means that the sounds are based on 'short' samples to build the sounds.
For instance in the Kronos you have the HD-1 engine, here you can create your sounds with the included PCM library of the Kronos, so that means you can use a sample of a Sine sound or a pulse sound or a guitar or choir or trumpet or any other sampled sound, etc...
Since you have a lot of synthesizer functions where you can modify the sound of the sample you can create the sounds you have in mind by using the correct pcm sources.
