Hi everybody,
What is the easiest and accurate way to convert MS2000B based OWN created sounds into Radias format? Is there a software that does it? Please advise.
Thanks

There is no way to convert patches from the MS2000B to the RADIAS. You'll have to cross program all of your custom patches. There is an MS2000B library of sounds so if any of your patches are tweaks of presets then it would be helpful for you to download that library. http://korg.com/uploads/Download/Radias ... 780000.zip
Bit of advice for cross programming... I find it helpful to turn resonance all the way up when tuning the cutoff point for a filters. If there is filter modulation put the envelope sustain all the way up and tune the mod intensity so you'll have the exact range. Of course turn the resonance down to the appropriate level after you have the correct tuning between patches.
Also what I do is start with a blank template of a synthesizer I'm trying to cross program and then have another instance of the patch in question. I'll then start copying parameters from the full patch onto the template and listening to the result while make the same adjustments on an initialized patch on the RADIAS. Most of the time I'll get an exact replication of a patch unless the synth I'm copying from can do something the RADIAS simply can't which is rare if you get creative.

You could buy synth editor software for the MS2000B:

It really isn't very hard to convert MS2000 patches to the Radias, if you know how to do synth programming at all. When you pick a program on the MS2000, all the parameters are available and accessible on the synth edit controls and in the LCD panel, right?
If you are referring to the presets for the MS2000B, those have already been converted for the Radias and can be downloaded here:

One trick that might speed things up is seeing if all the knobs on the MS-2000 send out MIDI CC. From there, you can connect MS-2000 MIDI OUT to Radias MIDI IN, slightly touch the knobs and see if it changes the parameters on the Radias.
Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin
This should work but the parameter ranges on some things are very different e.g. filter cutoff. Also on both units not all parameters have knobs. So some tuning by ear and hand-copying will still be necessary.Re-Member wrote:One trick that might speed things up is seeing if all the knobs on the MS-2000 send out MIDI CC.
