Dear Korg-fans,
I got a used m50 on ebay, and I have started getting the taste for this great keyboard.
There is a lot to learn, I know, but there is one thing that bothers me and I haven't been able to figure out yet. How do I record a drum track in sequence mode.
Example.
1). I open SEQ mode, and copy in an ARP/DRUM tract from eg. Prog mode.
2). I start the recording in sequence mode and I turn on the drum track
3). When I play back the recording I hear only the keyboard not the drum track.
can somebody explain me what I am missing here, I looked in the PG and didn't find an answer to my problem.
Please help me, Thanks in advance!
/Daniel
recording the "Drum Track" in sequence mode

Go to the preference tab and set to Multi record I believe it is called. Just check the little box next to that. If you want to record just one track of say drums on channel ten then you need to make sure that you are set up to record midi track ten by changing the midi track just under the song number. To record just on track ten turn multi record back off.
Thanks for your answer, i have now checked the box next to the multi rec option under the preferences tab. But now when I choose Rec I get a message box (dialog) with the message "No recording track specified"
Can you or somebody tell me how I specify a recording track?
btw. if I uncheck the multi rec option again, I can record just fine.

Drum Track
Brother,gig-raf wrote:sorry, just figured out how to do it. Well actually I found the solution in the manual this time.
Solution: turn on [REC] for each track that you want to record from. Default is [PLAY]
this did the trick + enabling the multi rec option in the preference tab.
Thank you!
Greetings,
I dont have a M50.
I have Krome and previously TR, but i hope all the korg keyboard have more or less same functions.
SEQ
Select track (below the song name) to 10
Choose the Drum program for track 10
PAGE
Drum pattern
Now you can use PRESET patterns
Put the track (as much as bars)
OK
exit
Play
or
USER
For user you have to create your own pattern
set parameter
step recording
do the entries
OK
Put to track (as much as bars you like)
OK
exit
Now start PLAY - the drum pattern will play
