switch sounds in sequencer mode kronos

Post by Art Rokz »

Hi there!
Can anyone help me with that?
I'm preparing my KRONOS for live. I'm using SEQUENCER mode for that.
I need to add backing track, metronom track (for drummer) and some sounds from KRONOS. I've added everyhing with no problems.

But now while backing track is playing I'd like to change the sounds that I'm playing. Is it possilbe to switch sounds in SEQ mode by the FOOT SWITCH while back track is playing?

Please help, I can't fing that.

Put the song in setlist mode multiple times. Then in the setlist edit page, select for each slot which is the active track.

Just regurgitating the info I found on here. One of the perks of hanging around at Korgforums.com! :)

With the song in setlist several times.. Surely the action of selecting another item from the setlist (even if it is the same song) will restart the sequencer. I've never tried this so I could be wrong.

That and this is where the beauty of the smooth sound transition feature really has a chance to shine!

What if you set up the sequencer so that Track (Timbre) you want to play on the keyboard is "live" and then let the sequence make the program changes for you? No fancy footwork required!

I agree Ron - the OP should just choose a blank track and insert the patch changes where he/she wants them for the "live play" track. This should then auto change the patch at the time needed!

One could have 2,5, - 25  different patch changes. One would need to ensure that none of the other tracks are set for the gbl channel and it should be sweet.

And as far as I can see, this is easily do-able on the K itself...

Although it IS a cool tip from Sander I have to say :) and certainly would be brilliant in Combi mode.
