Hi,
There is a topic for 'USB controllers on Kronos' => http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpbb2/ ... sc&start=0
Do they work on extreme?
I own a PCR-300 and it would be great if it worked via USB port.
PCR-300's manual says:
Power Supply
DC 9 V (AC Adaptor) or USB Bus Power
Current Draw
300mA (AC Adaptor)
300mA (USB Bus Power)
USB controllers via Extreme's USB port?

Nope.
Supporting MIDI devices via USB is a feature new to the Kronos. The USB-A ports on the Triton and M3 are only for storage devices, unfortunately.
You may be able to power it over USB though if it doesn't cause any other problems.

Didn't get into looking at the Kronos link, so not sure what item you're referring to.
But I use USB port B all the time to interface with a laptop or iPad (camera connection kit) and it works well as a controller for softsynths.
Isn't likely nearly as advanced what you can assign using a dedicated controller, but note, velocity and volume pedal are pretty much automatic.
