Live Jam demo - Combi: Acid Bath QR

Post by QuiRobinez »

I've programmed some classic MS-20 Saw and Square sounds and used these in the Combi Acid Bath QR, then this afternoon i was having fun jamming with this combi and the control section.

I'm using three ms-20 sounds and one pad sound and two drumkits

These sounds are from the Shine & Rough MS-20 sound set.

It's a completely different sound then the ambient tracks i posted but it shows what the kronos also can do :)

thanks, the most impressive part is the KARMA GE's, everything is done with KARMA and you can also use it perfectly for this style of music.

In the last few weeks i added a huge amount of KARMA GE patterns to the kronos. For this style there are over 30 KARMA GE's that are all different. I find it really impressive how KARMA can change my patterns once I transfered them to the Kronos.

I own the Karma editing software and am embarrassed to admit I've never created anything with it. Yet. Only managed to do the tutorials.

Your output is incredible.

that's a pitty. It really adds a lot of value to add your own patterns, basically you can add any pattern you want and then let KARMA do it's extra magic on those patterns or let it just play the way you intended it to be.

It doesn't take much time to create a KARMA GE when you create the pattern and export it to the Kronos, just the way i've described in my tutorial. Of course you can do a lot more in the software but to start with that shouldn't be to hard.

for instance last saterday i created a total of 64 new KARMA GEs for my combi collection. That took me about four hours where the most time was spent on composing the pattern and modifying some extra settings in the software itself.

What is the reason you don't create your patterns? Is there anything i can help you with ?

Its partly because I have too many other interesting options with various software programs like Max4Live. Time just flits away. And the Kronos Karma alone is enough for most of my needs.

342 looks and only 8 responses. Help keep this post alive with a bump.

I'm sure people miss out on many gems like this.

If you don't know about Qui Robinez and his fantastic work for the Kronos you owe it to yourself to check out this video at least.

Qui knows it perfectly well= I'm one of his fans and I've ordered his Magical Suite and Massive Pads; I often use his free sets when playing my Kronos ...
And on forums, I frequently talk about those collections I love to play (as i do for SoP or Karmalab or Karo collections)...

I had a look at his video but didn't think about a feedback... why? I don't know... perhaps, just because, seeing a guy tweaking parameters via Kronos Karma RTC while playing a combi, is nothing more than lot of Karma users do with any good (deeply programmed) combi...

So, I don't want to be considered as indifferent and rude... so I apologize and say= good job, Qui!... hope it's not too late, so that you'll go on posting your prog and combi trials...
