Is there any way to connect the Krome to a computer using the USB output other than using the editor? I just don't see this in any of the manuals.

You can use it as a MIDI controller for your DAW. Just install the Korg USB driver and that's all you should need.

I use Ableton Live 8

I have already install the USB-MIDI Driver yet Ableton does not detect the krome as a midi port.

Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with Ableton so I can't help there but first be sure other apps like the editor can see the Krome. If they also have a problem then it's probably driver related, otherwise it's likely to be something in Ableton.

Forgive me if this is something you feel is obvious, but you have to enable tracking for each device in Ableton. It doesn't automatically work.
