Keeping sustain into new sound

Post by ikegraham »

Hey folks! I have a couple songs I need to hold the strings all the way thru into the next song. Unfortunately when I change the sound holding the string sustain... the sound switches and cut the stings.

Anyway to enable new sound with release of pedal?

No.

You can put a stereo sample/hold/looper pedal on the SV-1 output, but the keyboard itself changes the moment a patch is selected. Iirc it was a design decision due to analog circuitry, but I could be wrong.

What he said.

One possible kludge would be to play both songs (if this works artistically) with one of the piano/string layer presets. In the first song, the strings will continue as long as you hold the keys while the piano sound fades off. Then hold to the next song, start that (the piano will cut through) and change the sound when you have the space.
