Triton Studio OS V2.0.2 Update

Post by 901lonestar555 »

I'm currently using V1.0.3 (just bought the keyboard) and wish to update
to the latest version.
I've seen a couple replies on the forum that updating cannot be accomplished using the CD drive.
I've downloaded the proper update (V2.0.2e) a couple times (just to be sure) and when I unzipped the file I see only an executable file (meaning
it's not broken down into separate folders to be opened and burned to
floppies-like the V2.0.1 update).
I did burn the executable file to a cd-rw and the Triton Studio does indeed
recognize the file on the disc.
The question is: Will the keyboard update from the CD drive or no?
If no, then there must be a downloadable update that can be placed on
several floppies (as with previous OS updates) and I just have not been
able to see/find it. There are also no update instructions for the V2.0.2
and the link indicated for this takes one to a set of instructions resembling
those for the previous update. Everywhere I look for the update I get the
exact same file as before. I know of no floppy discs with the required
size for burning this single file (3.61MB) that can be read in the Triton's
FDD.
Obviously, H-E-L-P!!!

Triton Studio OS V2.0.2 Update

Figured this out finally. The executable file needed unzipping also and the five folders (Disk1-Disk5) went to the Temp folder of my Vista OS. Sent
them back to Documents, opened each folder separately and burned the contents to the appropriate floppy disk. Still do not understand why Korg
posted the downloadable file in this manner but I took the chance that it
would NOT attempt to execute in my PC and it paid off. Now, I'll see just what it was meant to accomplish.
