Korg Pa3x - Style master volume - wish

Post by tajna92 »

Hi All,
I was not sure where to post so I'm starting a new topic.

Anyway, I wonder how hard would be for Korg engineers to implement a "style master volume" virtual slider somewhere on screen, so, when we finish style mix, we can adjust overall style volume up or down and save it within the style setup?

This would be "killer" tool for those who actually mix their styles for live performance, after all, it seems a logical thing to have in such instrument because not all patches are in same level and mixing different ones results in different volumes at the end... I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Thank you.

i do 80% midi and 20 styles and mp3 , and tajna92 you are right we need a style master volume, inside of a korg pa Editor program , the forums has ask for years and korg will tell you or us what we need ,, a stand-alone editor/librarian would work just fine and korg would not have to put in it the pa keyboard ,

I'm going to vote no becuaaes I find it better the way it is right now.

You have 3 Style Volumes, one controls Drums and Percussion together, the next controls the Bass, and the last one controls all 5 ACC parts at the same time.

Then you lock in your settings. Simple.

Sharp.

Yes... Until you switch to different style, perhaps with 4-5 different multisamples and effects....

I don't understand your point of view.

You have individual volumes for every track that can be saved into the style. You also have 3 master / group vomes you can also save as part of the style.

So its dead simple to balance a style and save it in that state.

On top of all this you then also have another master style volume slider you can adjust during live performance which can raise and lower the balance of the style separately from your right hand.

Or in global mode you can set the slider to act as a crossfade between your right hand and your master style volume.

Regards
Sharp

I was the first no vote. I voted no for the same reasons so eloquently put forth by Sharp. It's not needed in my opinion. Code space is precious in these machines. We shouldn't ask KORG to waste it.
