How to find YouTube Channels of Korg Pa players?

Post by Beemer »

I've all but given up to find recent YouTube posts of Korg PA3x users playing 12 semitone music, i.e. not quartertone. It could be classical, middle of the road, ballad, rock, western or any other genre even pop as long as the words are in English.

Yesterday a YT search found only a handful when filtering "in last month". Turkish, Arab or Oriental posts were prominent.

Perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way? Is there a way to find PA3x (or any Korg PA) performers who have their own YouTube channels?

I have now found the You Tube channel search and entering Korg PA3x has brought up many performances that I have still to work through.

Come on Beemer, get to your dealer and buy that PA3X - you know you want it !!! :verycool:

There is nothing better out there and IMHO it is great value for money.

Seriously, let me know if there is anything else you are concerned about...

Beemer, are you deciding to get the PA3X? I own PA600QT and many of its sounds are borrowed from PA3X. It sounds beautiful. The natural sounds are amazing and LIVE!!

If you don't want to spend the money, then go for PA600 or PA900. Both are powerful arrangers.

Karimh,

My listening experience with my above mentioned channel search was with few exceptions very unrewarding.

Well you sure made my on-line day with your selection! I loved all of these performances and will listen to more of their material.

Beemer i am really sorry because i made you upset with that display, Karimh thanx for recommending!

Well yes most of people in Eastern Europe use Pa3x for local music it is great market for arrangers, most of my colleagues and friends ask why do i even do pop things in English, i guess i like doing it :D

Here is one not listed on my channel, local cafe, nothing serious, just jamming :D

Hey! I think you misunderstood what I wrote! I said

"Well you sure made my on-line day with your selection! I loved all of these performances and will listen to more of their material".

and of course I liked your performance in the above video.

Oh i understood that, thanks and maybe yes, you should consider Pa900 since its much cheaper and still great arranger, but still Pa3x is the best :)

I have a large selection of pa3x players' demos and performances already aggregated into a pa3x playlist at the bottom of my YouTube home page. Check it out. I think there's enough good evidence there of the board's capabilities and quality to make up your mind, short of trying one out yourself. Good luck. Hal

Hi Beemer. My Pa3x/Pa3x playlist should have appeared on your screen if you scrolled to the bottom of my homepage, but just in case there's a glitch, here's a direct link to that playlist:

Thank you for your nice comment on my new "Stress Relief" music video series. I appreciate it. BTW, FYI, even though I've played the Pa3xPro and love it, I haven't bought it for myself yet as I plan to wait and compare it to the next keyboard Arranger that Yamaha comes out with to replace the Tyros series. Their new line, however, might not come out until December of next year (nobody on the outside really knows). It's a long time to wait. Who knows, I might break down and buy the Pa3x before then, if I get impatient. It's very possible I won't like the new Yamaha to buy it if the build quality and ergonomics are not as good as the Pa3x (i.e. better than the current Tyros build quality). Plus, I really prefer 76 keys. BTW, some of the Pa2x performances that are mixed in with my Pa3x playlist are so outstanding that, the fact that there's a Pa3x that's got some great improvements is very impressive. Good luck. Hal
