How to rearrangment patterm midi

Post by Chaos27 »

Hey guys

I was wondering if any of you can help me out how to rearrange certain pattern in SEQ mode. Say after 8 bar I want it to repeat again by copying the same pattern, and then after this have a flute come in at bar 9. Basically it's like FL or Reason where I can copy and paste events into the sequencer. I hate playing the whole pattern throughout the whole song that's ridiculous. I've read the manual but I couldn't find any information on this.

Thanks, 1 luv.

You can copy measures 1 to 8 from all tracks and paste it.

But how I work, I start a song with 16 bars for example. Then I copy that into a new song like it's a pattern and add instruments or change something and so on. I name the songs so I know song 1 is an intro, 2 is main 1, 3 is chorus and 4 is main 2 and 5 is the outro.
Then I make a quelist to create a song out of the patterns.
This is much easier than having to edit something from bar 64 to 65 and accidentally overwrite the whole track...

If you press page Select you will find a Step Editor. You can do all sorts of manual things in there. To change an instrument you could copy one track to another track.
