Korg PA900 Vs Krome - Please help

Post by gkthomas »

I have been a Korg Synth user since Korg Triton classic, Karma time. Last year I sold my Triton extreme and bought an Yamaha PSR S910. Yamaha has some nice styles and easy to use, However the sounds are very disappointing. I would like to add a korg to instruments. I recently have seen some videos on PA900 and I am very much impressed. However I have some questions. Will I bee able to get almost the same type of sounds in PA900 as korg Synth like Krome? Will I be able to do the same functions like layering sounds and applying effects, and creating beats using RPPR.?
Also I had some SNG files I have created on Korg Triton extreme, will I be able to convert those to PA900 format with some editing. ?
I will be performing Indian Music most of the time, So indian sounds are critical as well.
I am thinking to buy either PA900 or Krome. Can Someone suggest.?

I never used a pa series but i like the pa900
I think that... Krome or pa900 is like a ford mustang or ford f250...
There are two different concepts with the same brand.
The combi .. With until 16 layers or splits inside the korg synth ..not exist in pa series. In pa 900 you have 3 upper sounds and 1 lower sound. Very good sound but only 3 upper. I dont know if you can all 3 in layer or not. But I think that a good idea is.. Sell the yamaha and buy a pa900 and a krome .. And you get all of two korg world. The synth concept ( combis, programs, rppn, karma, drum tracks, arpegiators, multi fx with versatil route mix, ) and PA concept ( amazing solo sounds, styles, vocal fx, dual seq with midi and mp3, vocal remove and pitch change mp3s, etc)
And you have all...!!

Good day.!
