Basic Question: Saving SNG files

Post by ashleylm »

Hi,

New user, a bit overwhelmed.

I've saved one of my midi songs on my PC to an SD Card. I slip the card into Krome, press Media, pick the song, I press Load. I press SEQ. I then assign those great Krome sounds to each track.

I press Write, I give the song a name, it's saved as an SNG file. In the future, I should be able to press Media, Load, Seq, and play my wonderful song.

PROBLEM: For some reason the sound assignments aren't consistently being saved (and yes, I've disabled program change in Global AND removed the events from my midi file).

Where am I going wrong?

Thanks so much,

Ash

Your MIDI file probably have a "Program Change" event at beginning of each track. Go for Event Edit and remove those events and is should work. I had same problem.

See "stripping out GM from imported MIDI files (June 18 post).

Hope this helps.
