KORG Radias MIDI IN issue

Post by franciscov »

Hello, I hope someone could help me with this:

I am trying to send midi notes from Live to the Korg Radias using only the midi cable, not USB from an audio interface, but is not working. I checked the midi channels (sending from channel 1 to 1), the routing (MIDI or USB+MIDI), etc. in the Radias and is all ok.
Using the same setup I can successfully send Midi notes from the audio interface to other synths (discarding in some way the source). Connecting a midi controller to the Radias also works with no problems (discarding problems with the MIDI-IN in the Radias).
What is the setting that I'm missing? I tried changing midi channels and setting the local control to off with no luck.

I started using USB for midi with no problems (same setup), but I'm really intrigued why the no-USB-MIDI setup is not working.

Thanks!

Did you install the driver?

What port are you sending MIDI notes to? The correct one to control the Radias is 'Radias Sound'. The correct port to receive data from the Radias control surface and included keyboard (if used) is 'Radias kbd/knob'

Thank you for your answer.
The drivers are installed and when I use USB it works fine using Radias Sound ( If the Radias is not connected with the USB cable the Radias Sound and Radias MIdi OUT are no longer available in Live.), however, what Im trying to do is to use midi from the audio interface with no USB involved, like when you plug an external keyboard, which also works fine.
