Yay! I found the thread. Now the questions begin!
As probably many of you know, I now have an iPad that I want to use with my Kronos. I connected the 2 of them up wit the usb to lightning cable but of course I couldn't get sound from my iPad when I had my Samplewiz app up. I wasn't expecting it to work..
Is there a quick fix or do I have to go the midi route?

No, not yet but I am aware of Audiobus. I haven't heard of Midibridge but it might be something that could work for me.csteen wrote:Have you tried using Audiobus in order to play multiple apps together? The use of something called Midibridge is another possibility for syncing with kronos.
Basically what I want to do is use my iPad the same way other people use their computer as a multi-track recorder. I want to be able to record my band. Drums, bass, guitars, and keys. I would like to be able to record must of these at the same time live off of the floor with a click track running through the headphones. I also want to record midi data while I am playing my keyboards.
I don't really see why this should be all that difficult. My iPad is the newest version out there with a 128 gig drive. Granted I won't have as big a video monitor as people with a dedicated system, but there is no reason at all that I should not be able to do what I want with this piece of gear.
I'm quite okay with my drummer using an electronic kit. In a lot of cases they are easier to deal with and since I live in an apartment, well, you know

I have had my eye on a Griffin StudioConnect with Lightning interface. It's not available yet but should be soon. There are also some others to choose from.

Interesting. I like the price but the 1/8th inch connectors are certainly not pro. At least it 's a sign of things to come. I also like the fact that it holds the iPad and has a dock.

thanks Eagle, this looks like something I could really make good use of and it will work with my ipad mini. I can't wait for it's release date.Bald Eagle wrote:I have had my eye on a Griffin StudioConnect with Lightning interface. It's not available yet but should be soon. Have you set up the USB audio in on the Kronos?

Do I have to have anything set up on my iPad? I'm just wondering how you have it all routed together?

I'd have to check but I think I have and got nothing. Hmmm.
