(Beginner's Question) Midi connection, etc.

I'm very beginner of Midi, and recently I bought KronosX-88.
Even if you feel it's really stupid question, please help me sincerley!
Your kind answers will be appreciated.

Q1) Midi connection
KX-88 Midi out --------- M3-M Midi in
If I connect them with MIDI cable as above,
Then, Kronos's Ribbon / SW1,2 / Vector Joystic function can be transfered to M3 via Midi cable perfectly?
Or else, in order to do that, how can I connect them?

Q2) Fade in / Fade out in one song
Slow music fade out --> Fade in Fast music with different rhythm.
Can I make that kind of song on Kronos-X, in one song? how?

Q3) I downloaded Jean Michael Jarre's patch here. (Thanks to provider)
When I load them into my Kronos, I could confirm them at PROG-User bank.
But at same time I surprised that I cannot hear formar timbers
(such as I-A000: KRONOS German Grand).
after reboot, original timber sounds good but also JMJ's are not working.
Is it not possible to use all of those timbers well?

In Kronos, underneath Global/MIDI, you can change its MIDI channel. This channel function affects Program and Combination modes, sequencer is not affected. Therefore, if you use your Kronos at either of affected modes, it will also send all of the signals from MIDI channel, which is set on Global mode. Ribbon, JS and VJS, both are morph sources, manages defined AMSs or CCs directly. Also KARMA too does that. So the modulation you generated from these sources will be sent through MIDI OUT. Moreover, KARMA's generated effects, aka GEs, will be sent too.

My suggestion is if you want to play these keyboards simultaneously, you should set their MIDI channel values differently. Thus, you will not observe interference in MIDI signals.

For its KARMA side, please check manuals up. I lack of information about KARMA.
