The touch screen is on responsive and is cracked. It appears to glow with a character display beneath the cracked glass.
Finding a replacement touch screen is challenging and expensive. If the LCD is intact, is it possible to replace the digitizer layer with a new digitizer component, then reassembly touch screen assembly as a unit before reinstalling into the chassis?

nice and bright. also i was told by an electronics guy that the parts they use to make an adapter to fit trinity may be easily found as being standard pieces. i'm going to take the broken screen to them and one with the skinny ribbon and see if they can get me the parts.
