When you first switch on the Trinity, it will temporarily show the operating system version in the top left of the screen. If there's a Moss board in the Trinity, the Operating System should have been upgraded (via the user) to Version 3.x, as opposed to Version 2.x for all other hardware configurations.

The latest OS version for Trinity with the Moss board is v3.1.2 (or sometimes v3.1.1, the difference is minor).

At the same time, on the right of the screen, while booting up, it will also temporarily list all the hardware options that the Trinity has detected. If the Moss-Tri is installed, it will show "With MOSS-TRI" as one of those options.

Furthermore, in Program mode, along with the banks A, B, C and D, there should also be a bank called M, containing all the Moss programs.

Lastly, if the Trinity was purchased as a V3 model from new, then a large "V3" sticker may have been placed on the far right of the Trinity, above the "TRINITY Music Workstation DRS" logo. However this is purely cosmetic and is NOT indicative of whether there is or isn't a Moss-TRI board in there, as the user may have upgraded it to Moss at a later time and didn't receive a sticker, or removed the sticker at a later time, or even removed the Moss board whilst retaining the sticker.
