well I would be interested how many people (say out Of a hundred) have had a problem one. 14 months With mine now; no probs here.

You WILL probably find most people without probs With KRONOS don't say anything Much, but the few that have probs never seem to go on about anything else :wink Thus It Seems If a few people have probs they post Numerous threads & post Which Makes It Look Like Many people are having probs!!!

Eventually you will have a problem with it, tomorrow or 25 years from now. I've had mine for two years with no problem whatsoever, and that's the same with a number of people on this forum. Some people have had problems, and most of them have had the problems corrected. I gig with mine all the time, so I'd love a backup in case you want to sell yours for cheap money!

I wouldn't worry about it, especially with a three year warranty. Enjoy the beast. It's the most sophisticated workstation of all times. You can grow with it.

If you want to dump something, I agree that you should at least avoid the complaining threads on the forum. Personally, I took a year or so away - lurking about every once in a while.

I have three Kroni available to use: 2 73s that I bought and 1 88 that my employer bought. I had the rubber contact issue on one 73. I had a set list/seq issue that a Korg tech helped me nail down on his own time! Once we figured it out, I just avoid an unnecessary track setting and life is good.

I use the 88 five days a week, one 73 every Sunday and the other at home and "on the road." Loving life with the Kronos.

might be the misperception of this forum

People post when they have an issue, question, etc. In many cases these can be solved, and are solved by experienced forum members willing to help

Only every now and then people post when things are fine. So just counting posts does not give you a correct impression

I have the Kronos now for almost two years, faced several challenges of which all were solved thru the help of this forum, and I would never sell it

TBH, it's not just this forum,. it's ALL forums.

You don't take the time to register, log in, search etc. just to post, "you know what, my XYZ is fine!!"

It's usually because there is an issue or query you want resolved or need advice on.
FWIW, mine's a UK launch-day machine and has been used constantly - taken to lots of nice places and even gigged (with great care!).
Not one issue.
Of course, now I've said this, I'll go home, turn it on, and smoke will come out of the back!! :D

The question you should be asking yourself is more so, are you still happy with how it sounds? Does it do what you want? If you're questioning that aspect, then it might be time to move it on.

I have an early Kronos 88, Serial 28x, an never had any problems, except the RH3 Keybed Prob, which was fixed by Korg-Service immediately.

Yes, any technical devices fail from time to time, then they get repaired and everythings fine. This will always happen.

Some people have problems with their machines and report here, but that´s a minority.
So keep your Kronos and have fun with it and concentrate on your music :-)

I would keep your kronos they are very good.
But mine has failed yet again and is waiting to be pick up for the second time in 3 months :!:
But I would still not get rid of it.
Every electrical thing you buy has a chance of faliure and the kronos is so advanced your alway going to get one that has got problem and I have it .
So don't worry :)

I like others have stated above have not had any issues that could not be resolved without having to send my Kronos out for service. And I got help with minor issues which just turned out to be my lack of knowledge rather than any issues with the machine.

I would not look at the forums as a place that brings on worry but rather a place that you can learn more about your Kronos, and other aspects of music from people that have a lot of experience and are very willing to share it.

The Kronos is sensitve to current variations, so you must have a power conditioner or UPS to be safe. Many of the other problems people have had occured while performing software updates or RAM upgrades, often something having been overlooked in the process. One important thing is Korg's propensity to back up its product with continuous improvements and warranty repairs within a reasonable amount of time.

Yes, it's forums in general. I bought a 2009 MINI Cooper S and absolutely love the car. In a quest for info I found a couple of forums for the MINI. Guess what, nearly all negative!

I quite reading them and just drive it. It is awesome.

I've had my K61 for about two years now. The general consensus is that the Forum gives some people anxiety as there are a few negative posts.

I've had no issues and do not expect any.

Its a great machine and can be repaired with relative ease through Korg's service places.

Why panic?
