Volume Slidder broken =/

Post by Peteeee »

Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my Volume slidder, If I go up to 50% on my slidder, I lose my Right Speaker.. Only the Left can be heared. So I need to be always under 50% to hear both L and R output on my Korg X50.

And when I move the slidder slowly, I can hear some little "scrounch" on my Outputs.

Maybe I Should open my keyboard to look inside if there is anything that is blocking the slidder, Is it reccommended to unscrew and open the Keyboard?

Your warranty might be void if you open the case, but if you feel comfortable you might try.

I assume you changed the cable and speaker for left/right to be sure it's a problem of the synth and not the speaker and/or cable?

Yes it's in the Synth, It looks like If I slide it closer to 100% Volume, it cut the Right channel totally... even with Headphone =/
