System Version 2.1.0
Have most members already upgraded to System Version 2.1.0? I’m currently at 2.0.6. Has anyone experienced any problems beside the battery thing I was reading about or the other related to the thumb drive?
Also what about this Sub-System Firmware Version 6.04?
Thanks
Mark

Re: System Version 2.1.0
I upgraded the day was available and have not had any problems. I don't think the battery thing was directly related. There is one bug concerning note-off from an external keyboard. You can find a couple threads on that. If that on problem is not a concern, it is great update!Cobra Jet wrote:Have most members already upgraded to System Version 2.1.0? I’m currently at 2.0.6. There is a known problem with incoming midi note offs also generating note offs on the global channel. If you hook up a controller to your K regularly I would probably not update yet.
If you don't, go for it, the organs are sooooo much better
PS Dan has already replied to the above problem and stated a fix is being worked on.

To be clear, the sub-system update "improves communication with USB 3.0 ports on Windows computers," as opposed to USB 3.0 devices. It also includes other improvements, depending on the sub-system version previously installed on your KRONOS.Francois wrote:Yes, but more importantly, better compatibility with USB 3.0 devices!

How do I tell what version of the Sub System I’m currently running? Also, If I don’t do anything fancy like hooking my Kronos up to my computer or an external device, will I see any benefit from this update?danatkorg wrote:To be clear, the sub-system update "improves communication with USB 3.0 ports on Windows computers," as opposed to USB 3.0 devices. There's no way to do this, sorry.Cobra Jet wrote: How do I tell what version of the Sub System I’m currently running?
The update is recommended for all KRONOS users. That's all that I'm authorized tell you, but IMO it's sufficient.Cobra Jet wrote:Also, If I don’t do anything fancy like hooking my Kronos up to my computer or an external device, will I see any benefit from this update?

Will I get the better Organ sounds after I do the upgrades or will I also need to load “KRS-06: CX-3 Signature Sounds”. If I do load KRS-06: CX-3 Signature Sounds will they overwrite my existing patches or will it created a new bank of organ patches?SanderXpander wrote: If you don't, go for it, the organs are sooooo much better
