Kronos as Audio Interface
Hello everyone
I have a Kronos 61 as well as a windows 7 64 bit pc with Cubase
I just read the Kronos transmits both midi and audio via usb
Can it be done on PC or only on Mac?
If so can someone please assist me in setting it up in Cubase?
Thanks!

I use Windows 8.1 64bit with Cubase 5.
The biggest issue I encountered with a PC-Kronos-setup is the lack of an ASIO-driver.
So I use Asio4All to compensate that.
After installing the Kronos driver and Asio4All, I have set up Kronos as an audio device in Cubase.

I assume in this walkthrough that you have the latest Korg driver already installed and that you use Cubase 5.
• First start up your Kronos. Wait till it's fully operational.
• Then install Asio4All v2.11 beta 2.
• After installing Asio4All, open Cubase.
• In the menu on top, select Devices -> Device Setup....
• Just to make sure your MIDI ports are set up fine, click on MIDI Port Setup in the left menu.
• Make sure the Kronos is visible there as shown in this picture:

• Next, click on VST Audio System in the left menu.
• In the Asio Driver drop-down menu, select ASIO4ALL v2 as shown in this picture:

• Next, click on ASIO4ALL v2 in the left menu.
• Click on the Control Panel button on top. An Asio4All window will pop up.
• Make sure the Kronos is activated as shown in this picture:

• There's two options:
A) The Kronos is already activated as shown in the previous picture.
B) The Kronos is not activated in this window.
In case A close the Asio4All window and go to the next bullet.
In case B click the "power" button to activate it and then restart Cubase. This last step is important.
After restarting Cubase, go back to Devices -> Device Setup... -> ASIO4ALL v2.
• Check that all Kronos related ports are marked as visible as shown in this picture:

• Click the OK button, go to Devices -> VST Connections and select the Inputs tab.
• Make sure it looks about the same as in this picture:

• Select the Outputs tab.
• Make sure it looks about the same as in this picture:

• Click the OK button.
• Now in your tracks, make sure to select the Kronos as a sound source as shown in this picture:

If I am correct, you should be all set now.
