Assing sound effects to the Korg Nano Pad 2

Post by Lguelpa »

Hallo

I have searched the forum and been reading the resource guide and manual but it cant find anything, i want to assign sound effects to the pads on the nano pad while using the KK sounds and karma. The chords works find on the pad but I want to replace them with sound effects.

Is it possible to do that or do i need to connect the nano pad to my laptop and assign it from there.

Thanks

You should not need to reconfigure the Nanopad. Assuming this a combi, you can assign each pad to trigger a specific MIDI channel, for whichever timbre(s) is/are your sound effects. This is done on the EQ/Vector/Controller > Pads tab in the box right next to the pad number. By default, pads will be set to GCH, to trigger sounds on the global MIDI channel. Change "GCH" to match the sound effect timbre's MIDI channel. Then, edit the note(s) assignment for the pad(s).
