What is the price of korg kronos 88 keybed?

Post by mkrznar »

Hello!

I need help to solve my keybed problems.
Can anyone from Korg please help me out?

A few months ago, I have bought used Kronos 88 and at the time of purchase keybed was OK. Serial no is 003327.

Few days ago I have contacted former owner, and according to his words he sent this unit to service, and told me that they did changed rubber contacts.

Unfortunately, I am experiencing problems like uneven key weight, double triggering, and not triggering at all on some keys.

In the meantime, I will call the shop and ask then if they want to service this unit. Kronos was bought two years ago in MusicShop No.1 - Beltronik d.o.o., Rakarska 1, 10410 Velika Gorica, Croatia.

Do I have right to new keybed from Korg due to manufacturing error?

If they decline to repair my kronos, what is the price of new keybed, and where can I order it?

Thank you for your kind answers.

Before worrying about Korg not fixing your issue, I would contact your Korg dealer directly first and see what they can do for you.

A 73-key RH3 keybed for the KRONOS 73 is $573 from Parts Is Parts, Korg's US parts distributer. They don't list an 88, so it's probably a special order item, with a price of around $700, I would guess...

Hello again!

So I have contacted shop in Croatia about month ago, and they said that Korg has been informed about my problem. Also they said that email reply from Korg didn't yet arrive.

Please, can somebody tell me how to contact Korg, I have used form on Korg.com, but never get reply.

Sorry to learn that you're having problems with your Kronos......as well.
It is a known fault that can develop on the RH3 keyboards and can be resolved for some by replacing the rubber key contacts, but for others it doesn't cure the problem.

Myself and another forum member are actually going through a repair process this week and are awaiting the results.

Contacting Korg Support usually takes a few days for a reply.....they will probably direct you to contact your dealer for further assistance.
You will need to persue that route as best you can.

Replacing the whole keyframe would be a little drastic at this stage, perhaps another set of contacts may improve things initially,so probably it's what a service centre would
try first.

I don't know if there will be a charge for this.....talk to your dealer about that.

Good Luck.

Please do keep us informed with whatever happens.

Best Wishes.

I think DrKewel misunderstood and gave you the price of a complete Kronos X 88 rather the replacement key bed.

Hello,

at this time, I still don't have new information’s about my keybed replacement. Nobody didn't answer my email. Few months has passed since I reported my problems.
I am really disappointed extremely with this situation and I will NEVER buy Korg again.
For me as professional player it is required to have instrument that is reliable.
It should not be possible to have such problems with shop and distributor when you take Kronos price in consideration – for God sake it costs like 6 average Croatian payments. I have to work for 6 months to pay for Kronos, and I am having problems with keybed – the most important part of keyboard?

I would really like that someone from Korg check what is going on with shop, and Eastern Europe distributor, because this is a shame!

Info about shop:
MusicShop No.1 - Beltronik d.o.o., Rakarska 1, 10410 Velika Gorica, Croatia.

Info about Kronos:
Serial no 003327

Someone from Korg, please check what is going on, contact me and give terms to get new keybed, I don’t want repairs, but new keybed– it has been repaired once, and problem is still present.
