Cannot Get Tracks to Loop in a Sequence Song

Any help is greatly appreciated. I created an 8-bar MIDI file in Cakewalk SONAR and I've imported the file into the Triton LE as a new song. This 8-bar phrase has two tracks - a synth line and a drum beat that I want to loop endlessly. I've appropriately turned on the Loop in both tracks, set the beginning and end measures ( 1 and 8 ) for both tracks, and I set the song length to 8. Yet, when I play the sequence it just stops after the 8 bars and it will not loop.

The only way I can get it to loop is to change the record mode from "overwrite" to "Loop All Tracks" and specify the start/end measures as 1 and 8. Then the song will loop as I want, but this is not the ideal solution.

I have no idea why editing the tracks, and setting the appropriate loop parameters does not work. Please advise.
