Mac or PC for Kronos Editor?

Post by rockfan »

I'm a Mac user and will buy a laptop for the editor and other softsynth to use with the Kronos and controller.
Which should I buy for this purpose? And what model is best?
Thanks in advance.

It is more about your preferences, if you can afford a macbook and you are used to the Mac OS then do it. Both platforms at this point can do the same things. Good luck.

Oh!! GREAT ad for WINDOWS - explains everything. Now I know why I am a Mac addict

P.S. I have absolutely no problems with the Kronos editor on Mac :D

Probably Mac is the more sensible choice for you since you already have one. It's just easier since you're used to it and they will be compatible more easily if you need to move files from one to the other for instance. Also, the Core Audio driver that lets you use the Kronos as a soundcard on Mac is better than the (free) third party "ASIO4ALL" Windows solution. Useful if you want to play softsynths using just the Kronos and a laptop.

On the other hand, it IS possible via Windows and Windows 8.1 is pretty good at touch control now and many laptops are available with touchscreen.

I use my macbook with no problem. If you have one, stay with Mac.

If you need to run some software only available in windows, use Paralells Desktop.

That's hilarious.
I'll buy the Mac, then.
Thanks.

so clever, and easy to relate to
This is sarcasm, btw.

To put it mildly, the ads are politically incorrect or a stereotype of an ethnicity

Wow. I'm stunned into speechlessness.

If their engineering is on par with their marketing, I'd be very, very worried. ;)
