Korg Taktile win7 wont work

Post by buzzfunk »

Hi

Does anyone here have a Korg Taktile 49?

Im trying to use it with Win7 and while it sees a device non of my music software recognize it. Its so so frustrating. I just spent 400 bucks on this piece of s**t. 2014. Plug and play??

Under the USB devices it shows up as a MOUSE device. not sure if thats important or not. Tried the driver from Korg no luck. Even its the own editor software does not see it.

Anyone?

Same issue on Win 8.1 and Win 7

Post by viktorkestral »

"Nice"to see that I'm not the only one. It seems that there's another post which seems to solve the problem but I can't succeed at that time. Furthermore, I've tried with a Nanopad and got the same issue. It appears that it's due to the ranking of the Korg Midi port but how to change it? That's the question and it wouldn't happen with solid drivers IMHO. Anyone to check this at Korg and propose an easy solution?

Solved

I can confirm this wotk. Uninstall KORG USB-MIDI Drivers as well as problematic Midi ports with the uninstall Korg utility. Then, remove the Korg Midi drivers; reinstall them with Taktile connected and everything is almost OK. You still have to make the midi channels match between editor and Taktile and not forget to configure the midi port in the editor.

sorry to crash the thread, but not much info on the taktile, i have a pre purchase question, can you send note messages ie playing the keys on more than one midi channel at a time, like zones I guess. Didnt look like it from the manual.
