new stuff at the korg sound library store :)
Kelfar Technologies: KRS-95 Moda
Kelfar Technologies' KRS-95 Moda ($100) offers keyboard musicians an unprecedented array of Middle Eastern sounds to recreate popular Sha'abi dance music. Maestro Bassam Badour of Lebanon uses the Korg Kronos and Kelfar libraries as his main instrument, demonstrating the versatile and exceptional quality of these libraries. The new library includes plucked instruments, woodwinds, bowed strings and ensemble instruments. Keyboardists can produce a rich blend of authentic Middle Eastern instruments for Sha'abi and other musical styles.
You must have the EXs95 Melodia library in order to use the KRS-95 Moda library.
KRS-95 is part of new Kelfar Bundle Packs. Bundle Pack #1 is at $300, which includes EXs95 and KRS-96. Bundle Pack #2 is at $430, which includes all Kelfar sounds, EXs95, KRS95 and KRS-96.

I know what you mean. I'm at the point now I don't even visit the website to checkout the new EX's.I refuse to buy another one until they update their policy which probably will never happen.Bertotti wrote:I love they are building it up but it depresses me, with the rules they have that I will never buy one.
SHAME ON YOU KORG!.

I think its clear that Korg and the 3rd parties that offer the sample libs with the 1 size only, that sales are being lost.db1 wrote:I know what you mean. I think it would be useful if the parties would better explain why this policy is the way it is.
I would think they want to have more sales plus keep the security of the product under control. I tend to think there is a way to accomplish both. Since I am not behind the scenes I can't speculate.
I think these libraries are depressing in general. I have a right to my opinion here and I think most of the stuff in all these libraries just doesn't cut it. Sounds and prices are just not up to standard. It seems Korg will let anybody make libraries now? I don't understand how a library like this can even slip through unless it's a favor to someone. Why the hell would you buy tweaked sounds you already have and can tweak yourself ?I'm sorry if anyones offended but this library sounds terrible. There's nothing in here the Kronos can't do better. If Korg doesn't up it's game in the Kronos department this will be the last generation of hardware synths that sell well.
Go ahead library salesman, scream at me all you want. Everybody want's to make an extra buck, but....
Peace

You're right, no-one ever sells new sounds based on existing sample sets.R Brenon wrote: Why the hell would you buy tweaked sounds you already have and can tweak yourself ?
Oh, wait, there's an entire industry that does just that.
Actually, it seems pretty clear that offense is your intent.R Brenon wrote:I'm sorry if anyones offended

Your post reminds me of the way I feel about commercial Tv and am radio. A lot of it is dreck. But since it is free, so what, their programming isn't harming anyone. I simply flick it off , and ignore it.R Brenon wrote:I think these libraries are depressing in general. danatkorg, I'm glad your here. Do your biggest competitors charge for patches their synths are capable of creating? No. You lose. Are your competitors sounds transferrable to other synths then? Yes. Are yours? No. You lose. (Not that I care about this subject cause I don't need these sounds anyway but it's clear a lot of your customers are upset about this procedure, therefore, you lose)
I don't want you to lose because I think the Kronos is "Potentially" the best hardware synth product available, but when you don't listen to your customers, you lose. I have a deeper view of what a hardware synth is and could write a book about it, but if hardware synths don't become better than software synths, the software will take over (which it already is starting to) and then all musicians will lose, and you'll be out of business.

You might want to do a little research, since the answer is the opposite of what you appear to think.R Brenon wrote:danatkorg, I'm glad your here. Do your biggest competitors charge for patches their synths are capable of creating? No. You lose.

You are absolutely right. I let a small pestilence irritate me too much and I snapped. I should of just flipped off the internet and gone on to better things. Good advice. I guess nothings perfect.GregC wrote:Your post reminds me of the way I feel about commercial Tv and am radio. A lot of it is dreck. Have you bought any KRS libraries? There are five of them in these most recent announcements, all but one of which don't require an EXs.Bertotti wrote:I love they are building it up but it depresses me, with the rules they have that I will never buy one.

None of KRS libraries cover orchestral instruments, right? I think I saw a Piano/Organ library, but nothing like wood wind/brass...etcdanatkorg wrote:Have you bought any KRS libraries?
