Why there is no paypal in Korg Shop?

I'm no friend of credit cards. Everywhere in the world I can use paypal.
I also bought Sharps amazing sounds with paypal.

Why it isn't possible to buy directly on korg.com with paypal?

Maybe you can raise the deals on korg.com...

Maybe some korgies think about that.

It would make sense to move with the times and introduce alternative methods of payment such as paypal.

I agree!
They should make customers able to buy directly from Korg with paypal!

When i wanted to buy my Kronos, the local dealer didn't have it. Therefore they had to order to the main supplier which wasn't in my city!
The supplier said they wont give it to the local shop unless they order for at least 10 of the same instrument!!!!
(Then i travelled to another city where i found a shop that had 2 K.s in the stock)

Are the paypal fees that much higher than what the major credit card companies charge per transaction? It's been a while since I've sold something on Ebay, but I don't remember it being that much more than a few %. I think Visa/Mastercard charge around 3.5%.

If buyers prefer to pay Paypal fees, thats ok by me. Personally, I would not need that service.

Amazon also does quite well, without any dependance on Paypal.

I don't use paypal very often, but I don't think I've ever been charged a fee as a buyer. I even had someone make a payment to me and wasn't charged a fee.

No, PayPal do not charge fees to buyers. And neither do eBay. It's always the seller bearing the cost of fees charged by PayPal or eBay.

From the PayPal website:

"Buying with PayPal is free. We will only charge a fee when you sell something, or if currency conversion is involved."

However, as a buyer, you are given the option to take the PayPal fee if you want the person to whom you are sending money to receive 100% of it. In other words, the fee is charged to your account as opposed to that of the seller or recipient as would be the case normally.

you are correct ! I am in error with my buyer statement.

Some semantics here. I was mostly thinking that sellers are also customers of Paypal, thus, us sellers pay fees. I have paid lots of fees over the years to both Amazon and eBay . In a way, since eBay and Az are providing a service to sellers, sellers are customers of them, too.

I accept both paypal and all major credit cards at the Karma-Lab store. There is essentially no difference between what it costs me to take a paypal payment vs. what it costs me to take a credit card payment. They all charge similar rates - and some credit cards can actually cost more than paypal depending on whether they are international, some special "reserved" account, debit cards - who knows...

Buyers never pay a fee with either method. The merchant pays all the fees.

Therefore, there is really no reason why Korg should not add PayPal as a payment method. Originally, I only accepted credit cards. I added PayPal a few years ago, and now I would say about half of my business is paid through PayPal. Korg, take it from me: you're losing customers by not accepting PayPal. Even if it costs a few cents more to take some PayPal payments, you make it up in the increased business.

AFAIK In the UK credit card companies charge the retailers for providing the service. However this is often passed on to the customer as a 3% surcharge!

E.g. A lot of holiday companies do this!

However under UK law you have more legal rights if you pay with a credit card for purchases of £100 or more, rather than a debit card.

Yes Stephen I alos bought KARMA Kronos with PAYPAL I had never bought it without PAYPAL...

I hope KORG listen to your opinion

What's the opinion regarding Debit Cards ?

Many people who have a bank account also have them, as oppossed to Credit Cards.

Korg won't accept them,nor our good friend StephenKay....for Karma products etc.(Sorry Stephen,it's not meant to be a criticism,nor a complaint).

There must be a reason for this...??
