Changing the length of a song

Hi Everyone, Hope you can help.

I recorded a midi song in sequencer mode but I set the length too short and the background loop ends too early when I try and record audio over the top of it.

Is it possible to change the length of a midi song after its been recorded. I cant seem to find an obvious option for it anywhere?
