Importing, playing and recording onto a wav file

I successfully exported wav files using the audio recorder, but I would like to import wav files and play them in the audio recorder, and also record (overdub) more music onto the imported wav files. The parameter Guide explains how to export a wav file, but I didn't see anything about importing a file into the audio recorder.
