how to change drum kit in a combi with a built in pattern?

Post by shaneblyth »

I can go into a combi on the keyboard screen and find the drum patterns and change those to something more suitable but there always seems to be a drum kit that is associated to any particular pattern as i noticed changing to a different pattern seem to change the kit used. But I cannot find a way to the drum kit used by any of these patterens in a combi. Is this possible from the front panel on a combi? or do i need to use the editor which i have not tried yet, if so how? There is a nice pattern i like but it is stuck on one of the urban or hiphop style kits which always distort compared to other kits, even turning the volume right down so the slight distortion is obviously part of the sound of that kit. I muddled about with the settings and found I could change the kit used in a sequencer part in a combi easy enough but just cant see how to do the same in the combi drum patteren.
cheers

Drum track usually uses channel 10. so you can change the drum kit by changing the program on channel 10
