Manual Bass

Post by darrylkorg »

Hi,

i would like to change the voices (Sounds) of manual bass. For eg, i would like to have Slap Bass on Left side and Piano on the RH side - Some thing similar to the Split voice in yamaha PSRs. I should also be able to change the Octaves of the Bass voice.

Please let me know how to acheive this.

Regards,
Darryl

When you are on Manual Bass, the bass sound comes from the third track of the style played.
To change the sound, hit the “track select” button, then touch the third instrument from the left, (first is the Drums, second is the percussion, third is the bass). When you touch that square on the screen – you will see the selection of sounds for the bass.

Hope this is understood and works,

Rami

p.s.

to change the octive of the bass,

Menu > Mixer Tuning > Tuning (tab) >

then move the nob (on screen) of the oct.transpose in the Bass section.
If you see only 4 tracks, hit "track select" button.

Select Style Mode. Then set up the right hand channels 1,2 & 3 as desired - I used the Octave Piano Performance. Now turn off ACCOMP, MEMORY & MAN BASS. Next set channel 4 (Lower) to the Slap Bass you want. I used Legacy - Bass - P1 - Slap Bass 1.

Now select the MENU button and press Mixer Tuning. Make sure Lower is not muted and adjust the Volume as desired. Now press the Tuning tab at bottom of LCD screen and adjust Lower Octave Transpose as desired.
When done, press EXIT. You should be back to the style page window on the LCD screen.

Now select the WRITE PERFORMANCE function on the drop down menu in upper right hand of LCD screen. The WRITE PERFORMANCE page will show on your screen. Edit the name of your setup as desired by pressing "T". After renaming, then set the location where you want to store this PERFORMANCE (aka REGISTRATION) and Press OK ... YES to write and save it. By the way, PERFORMANCE is just another name for REGISTRATION. ;-)

Now whenever you want this registration, just select it from the Performance page you saved it to. You can press the SPLIT button to switch between full Piano keyboard and split keyboard with bass in left hand.
