any one know if there's a quality erhu violin pcg patch for the triton series?

There is a "chinese violin" in one of the EXB cards - I think its in 2 - the studio essentials card.

How "good" it is is a matter of speculation and need... if you need a genuine sounding violin a huge amount of the realism is dependent on your playing. I can say that the sample has an ethnic "flavor" - how much is sample and how much is processing (resonance/EQ/velo-to-detuning-AMS) is a matter for exploration.

However, the Extreme doesn't support expansion slots.

That leaves samples - my best advice there is to look at some of the larger 3rd party providers like big-fish and east-west and see if there are asian instrument collections that might have what you want. Their QA/QC is generally pretty good, they have proven track records, service, and their samples will likely be in several formats useable by korgs.
