Need advice on replacement touch panel

Post by Athena Music Studio »

Hi !

My M3 touch panel is almost dead, so i need to replace it.

I've found a repair kit on ebay, but i just wanted to ask it if someone had a better deal :)

http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Korg-M3-Touch-Pa ... 4adf256800

Can i trust this offer ?

Thanks !

Yes it's a good offer and the kit includes everything you'll need except a Phillips No. 2 screwdriver.

My screen has some issues too. I can get it to calibrate, but it seems to me I'm not pressing the actual squares in calibration mode, but just below it. Is this normal? Maybe I'll order a screen anyway.

In my case, the touch panel was non-touchable in the lowest left area, nothing to do with calibration.

About the calibration problem, i'v heard it could be a software bug... is your M3 up-to-date with system 2.0.5 ?

Uh no it isn't. I'm a 2.0.4. Is there a OS update for a Radias too? I'm a 1.0 on that front.

Would the link be at Korg.com for the M3 OS? I'll go look.

The Radias 2.0 update is located in the M3 download section on Korg's website.

V2.1 was an unofficial release but a download link might still be at this thread...
