multi samples assignation

I have loaded samples, made them multi samples, and converted to programs. After I turn the synth on after it has been off, these programs are using the wrong multisamples. I have to go to OSC 1 to re- assign, but even after I write the program again it fails to remember which ones are assigned the next time. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
