advice for starting out

Post by muziksmig »

I am hoping to get an ms20 mini for christmas , full on electronica head, DJ'd for years but totally new to recording and music creation and just wanted to ask about a few things:
as the signal out on the MS20 is mono , for practicing and messing about ,what would be the outcome and is it possible to connect to my mixer (behringer ddm 4000) would I achieve stereo out by using the headphone out?
I have been given use of a fostex FD8 - would it be better routed through this and hooked up to amp or would this be best used for just recording onto?
Also, failing all the above, would I be better connecting to a bass amp or guitar amp?

totally buzzing if i get this- if not , the wife is binned!!! ( only kidding love !)

I would just use a Y-cable from the MS-20 mini's signal out when plugging it into a stereo input. I think the headphone out is a little bit more noisy.
