install "Korg Midi driver Usb" for electribe2?

I saw on the website of the German korg, that in the download section of the Electribe 2 there are drivers usb midi korg. From what I understand are generic drivers that are used for all models korg.
my korg Electribe soon as I connected to the PC with the cable micro usb, was immediately recognized.
These "Korg midi usb driver" improve something, they are specific or is indifferent and are useless?

Interesting. I wonder why that driver isn't listed on the website of Korg UK. On my Mac I didn't need any drivers to get midi over usb to work though.
