Fail to save ! memory PCM not enough to save the file?

Post by dilan »

When i try to put more sounds into the set, which i have ,or when i try to combine 2 sets into one set with more sounds and samples ,it says in the save mode ,not enough PCM Memory to save the file. Is it related to the 64 MB RAM or not? ,if it does then do i have to buy or upgrade the 64 mb to 256 mb will solve the problem ? Can some one help me out what is the best solution to put more sounds into my user 1,2 and drmkit ,even i tried to delete some unwanted sounds from the list to fit with more new sounds but cant solve, what is the cause of not having enough memory ?

Looks like you maxed out the Ram already. I've read about a third party solution (Available from some European/Turkish dealers? ) but that's not officially supported by KORG, so not sure how reliable those services are.

Also, I believe simply deleting a sound does not delete the associated pcm files with that sound. Once you delete a sound, you would also need to delete "unassigned samples" I think. I could be wrong about this.

You probably have way too many user drum kits? If so, you might want to start cleaning up your keyboard by getting rid of the ones that kind of sound the same and then replace/remap the styles to the kit that is going to replace the rest. This might be a huge undertaking if you have loads of Styles/Drum kits, but it'll give you lots of space once finished.

i passed through that problem because i like to mix 2 or 3 voices and save them as one mixed .
i discovered a god indirect way

1- if you don't want a voice , replace it with the new one insted of deleting it and save the new one in a new lace
2- go to global setting and delete the help langouges
don't worry . English langouge will never be deleted because the system use it . you can only delete the other langouges

after that you will gain a free memory
