Human league sound help

Post by richyrich »

Hi does anyone have the sounds on korg kronos for human leagues "don't you want me "

I've tried making the main brass bass sound but it really is too bassy,

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I've been working on that song myself. I'll see if I can find the time to gather a few patches of mine into a PCG so I can post them this week; I've been meaning to do that for a while.....

In the mean time, take a listen to this to see if it's close enough for you.

I haven't fully nailed the sound yet, but I'm getting there. I tend to work incrementally: get something approximate and then, if we do the song, start refining the sounds.

All sounds apart from the drums are Kronos.

Not bad man, not bad.

the during 1/16 note is perfect, is it in the beat?

I'm interested in the drumpattern... very very cool :-)
Love and peace to everyone :-)

Thanks for the comments, guys.

I'm away from home for a few days,. Once I'm back I'll do a PCG of these and other classic sounds and post them. If I haven't posted by the weekend please PM me to remind me!

80salife, I'm not 100% certain what you mean by "the during 1/16 note is perfect, is it in the beat?". It could be me being "tup" (as we say in Wales) of course

Hi Derek,

the first sound (direct at the beginnig) with beat, playing 1/16 note...

Have you programed with the beat or is it a Karma or what else?

Ah, no, it's just programmed on the beat; nothing clever going on. It's all sequenced in Cubase, BTW. Drums are BFD2, everything else is Kronos built up track by track. I'm too used to Cubase and two monitors to sequence in the Kronos, and just export an Audio mixdown of what are backing parts for playback, along with MIDI for riving my DMX lights.

Credit where it's due, I started off with a commercial MIDI track and track by track programmed the sounds after aligning it against the original - it's useful to have that when practising.

:) they weren't the best singers (but have you heard the B52s?) but it kinda suits the track, or am I so used to hearing them singing it slightly flat?

PS: exporting the PCG is on the todo list that I just emailed myself!
