OASYS 76 - Any interest in buy or trade?

Post by bax »

Trying to gauge interest...I have an OASYS 76 SN 000213 in essentially mint condition and fully expanded (except the EXB-DI option). I have the original manuals, disks and box. She has spent her life in a non-smoking environment, covered when not in use, has never been gigged or abused in the slightest.

Even though she is an absolute thing of beauty I simply do not use this board anymore since getting my KRONOS and she is taking up valuable space that I could use for a different board. On the one hand I am hesitant to sell it simply because of the potential historical value, but on the other hand if there is someone out there who would actually use and appreciate it and is willing to make a reasonable and serious offer ($$$, extremely interesting trade, or a combination of the two) I'd like to have the conversation. Probably USA only given the cost, size/weight, and potential for damage to ship it overseas, but again I am willing to have the conversation if someone is very serious about it.

I'd appreciate any feedback and/or questions about it...thanks for looking!

Beautiful machine ... However, due to age and potential repair issues I would not offer over $1000 for it at this point.

Yeah, I hear ya... And that is why she will probably sit dormant and well-protected for a couple of decades until I bring her back out, swap in the replacement motherboard, pop in a new CMOS battery, replace the drive with the imaged backup drive, and try again.

Thanks anyway for looking!

Retirement? I would be playing it. I hate to "retire" any board that still works.

@Bald Eagle - I agree, and if I didn't also have a Kronos in the same room I absolutely wouldn't think of putting her away but I really need the space for another board...different flavors and all that.
