Korg M3 73 issues with usb not reading media and kebed

Post by jbeliz »

I have some issues that i think have to do with the module, The usb is not reading any kind of media that i put on, and the keybed seems to not be receiving power or signal cause the controller does not light up, i changed the cable from the module to the keybed and still nothing. also no sound comes out of the pads.
Can this be maybe some power issue that supplies these areas with power.
I tried a hard reset also factory restore and nothing has changed any ideas on what this can be causing this?

Try removing the keyboard cable from the module and remove all USB devices. Boot the module and load the factory demo sequence and see if it plays. If that works it would indicate that an external connection is causing the problem. Perhaps something in the keybed shorting things out.

But in any case it sounds like a trip to a service center may be called for.

Maybe the usb stick you plugged in is dead too?
In that case tha psu gone bad and took the main board with it..
Confirm that the pads on the module don't work too...
In case you get no power on the usb stick maybe you are lucky and you just need to replace the power supply pcb (not the brick psu,the board..)

If its only the psu you just need to change the board inside that the power pack connects to...
If you put a usb inside and it burns it then it is the motherboard too...
