Where to start....I LOVE my Kross - she makes me very happy. However, I am a piano player, trying to become a keyboard player, and hoping to gig by myself with "tracks". I currently sing with a three piece band, and use "Spanky" (her nickname) as a keyboard.
Last night I formatted an SD card. I pulled a bunch of midi files off a free midi site, copied it to the the SD card and put the SD card in Spanky. I clicked Exit/Global and up pops the list of the midi files. I scrolled down to the song I wanted to edit, in this case "Chain of Fools", clicked Function, load selected....but then it asks me to load to :>000:
So I loaded it to 15, turned off Global Media, clicked Sequence and changed the line to 015:_________
Last night (It was terribly late) I re-formatted all of the instrument tracks: For example, instrument #01 is a bass guitar on the midi file, but when loaded into the Kross is becomes a piano. Instrument #10 is a drum kit on the midi file but on the Kross it becomes an electric organ. Not big deal, I changed or turned off all of the instruments. I hit PLAY and it sounded great. For TWO BEATS! What the bleep? The correct instrumentation plays for two beats then changes back to the original (wrong) instruments.
So....what am I doing wrong?
Question 2. Once I've got a sequence formatted as I wish, how do I save it?
Question 3. Is each "Song" just that? A Song? I can have multiple SONGS in one file?
Am I using the correct terms?
Thank you!

I had the same problem:
When you load a MIDI-File (for example from Guitar Pro) to the sequencer, it changes the Instrument at playing.
The reason for that is, that there are commands for instrument changing in the midi file. But you can easily delete them:
In sequencer mode, press MENU, scroll to S-TRACK EDIT and say OK.
Then select the right track with the up/down buttons and press Function.
After that select Event Edit and press OK. Now DESELECT everything but PROG and press OK.
Now you see all MIDI Events in the selected track, that are changing instruments. For example ([001]:01.000 PROG : --- : 000)
Select the row with the command and press CUT.
Scroll down and check if there are other commands and CUT them all out.
Now repeat that with all tracks in your sequencer and you're done.
Sorry for my bad english
