I've searched the internet, no find.
Korg website posts only 1.2+ drivers for Mac, which need Intel.
I've asked my local national dealer to ask Korg Japan - no response.
Really annoyed. Hey Korg, there's no reason to yank a legacy driver off the web. It costs nothing to keep it out there, and somebody might need it.
This could steer me away from buying the SV-1.
If Korg designs a keyboard which NEEDS the computer for editing, then at least, make sure the drivers stay available. Better yet, update the Editor too.
And give us some hope that new drivers will be written when Intel+Mac becomes defunct someday. While that's a long shot - that's what users face in the future.
We all know that programming Editor updates and new drivers take manpower. I'm sure there's people that would pay for that on a subscription basis, but that's another story.
Keeping a legacy driver posted online = zero manpower.
If any readers find the 1.1 driver for Mac, please PM me or post a link here.
I'd bet someone has this sitting on a hard drive, or on an early version of the CD that was boxed with the SV-1 originally.
Thanks!
P.S. Spare me the advice to update my laptop. Nobody should have to go to such lengths to tweak sounds on a MIDI keyboard while on the road.

Thanks Paul, I appreciate your taking a look for me!
I'd say, perhaps it's a "2-partition" CD, so that each half is only recognizable by one OS.
If you have the Nero app or something like that, you might be able to make a disc image and upload that to me (Dropbox works fine). That image *should* contain both partitions, everything that's on the disc.
Other option is, if you have a Mac friend nearby with a CD drive, they could get those Mac-compatible files off the CD for us.
But I'm sure the Mac files must be there - because they're not going to include 2 CD's, and then ask each customer which one they need…

Thanks Paul, it works; Laptop can connect to the SV-1 and transmits fine.
Yes, my Macs could not see the Windows stuff on that disc. So, the disc does hold both Windows and Mac versions on the same disc - but hidden to the opposite operating system.
I really appreciate your help!
UPDATE: I've posted it at the link below for everyone to access whenever needed:

USB MIDI Driver 1.08(r7) for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. Works on both G4 and Intel Mac computers.

Can you run the Editor without the supplied Korg SV-1 driver?alexbbrown wrote:I didn't bother to install the USB driver, and haven't noticed any missing functionality - are you sure you need it?
I was under the impression that the Editor requires the Driver to be installed.
