I have various libraries that I load depending on the project I'm working on.
ONE particular project file has been causing me problems....and it's JUST this one file. When it first started occuring, I blamed it on a file corruption, but was able to deal with it rather than having
to recreate the whole project. That was a few years ago.
NOW it's doing new stuff so I thought I would pose the question.
The first issue I had starting a few years ago:
Whenever I load the file, or even turn the keyboard off and on (with the same file loaded), no sounds occur. I have found that if I go into "Program" and just choose another sound than it's default, then all the sounds return. Ok, I can deal with that.
The second and third issue have just started:
Same process as above, but now every program/combi has the Karma On/Off and Latch buttons turned on. That can be embarrassing if I don't notice that before playing. I've discovered that if I just turn them off on one, it affects all the combi/programs and I don't have to worry about it. (of course the combi/programs that are SUPPOSED to have them on are not affected...go figure)
And lastly, some programs/combis have a tempo set for BPM purposes, or simply for me to know the correct tempo of a song. That's not working any more. I have discovered that if i hit "compare" the original tempo that I set will return. So if I set the tempo to 140, jump to another program and change THAT program to say 186, then return to my original program of 140, it is now at 186 instead...UNLESS I hit the compare button, then it's back.
WHAT THE?!?
Looking forward to see what other craziness that will pop up.
Again, its just this one file....so far...
Any thoughts about what the heck is happening here?
Thanks.
Carol

If the problem is only with one file then I would suspect the obvious and say that the file is horribly corrupt if that much strange stuff is going on. I assume you are loading a PCG file?.
In any case you may be better off recreating that file before things get so bad that you loose all of your work.

I was afraid of that. I am not sure how to begin recreating all those files without it taking up most of my time. Thats why i was hoping there was another way.Bald Eagle wrote:If the problem is only with one file then I would suspect the obvious and say that the file is horribly corrupt if that much strange stuff is going on. You could start by trying to load individual items from the corrupted file. Media mode allows you to load single programs and combi's. If only part of the original file is corrupted you might be able to load the ones you need one by one. Save a new file every once in a while because at some point you will likely load something that is corrupted from the original and everything will break again.
