Purchased the funk & soul brass sounds & tried to load them.i want to load them automatically into one of the user banks. Maybe one of the areas that is already preloaded with Ricky Lawson drums or another trial sound. I need a step by step process as I seem to keep reloading new sounds over banks that I need to keep for my existing sounds. Also, want to find out how to load the combis into new locations instead of the default locations. The manual that came with it seems to state how to do this, however I'm still struggling.
Thanks in advance, really need some help.
Jim

I'm assuming the actual EXs install went well and the whole thing was succesfully authorized?
As for the PCG part, if you select the PCG in disk mode and click "load" the Kronos has no way to know that you may want to pick and choose what's where so it'll just load everything in the PCG file in the way it is ordered in the PCG file. Most expansion libraries will by default put their stuff in the U-G bank. If you want to load an entire bank to a custom location, chose "open" on the PCG file instead. Then, you'll see a bunch of options like "programs" and "wavesequences" and so on. Since you already loaded the wavesquences by loading the PCG entire, you can forget those for now. Choose "program" and "open" again. Now you'll see bank indicators. Selecting a bank and hitting "load" will make the Kronos prompt you for a destination location. You can select any HD-1 bank you have.
You could also click "open" instead of "load" again and you'll be able to browse and load individual programs (assuming, again, that the EXs sample installation and loading completed succesfully).
The same thing goes for combis. Of course, if you load a soundset that comes with combis and programs both, and you change the location of the associated programs, you will have some work fixing the combis. A program like PCGTools can help you with this.

Thank you.
Looks like good step by step instructions.
I do have everything on the hard drive and authorized, so am anxious to try this.
When I tried in the past, a lot of my combinations were messed up that I created. So I just reloaded all of most saved settings so I could still gig.
Will keep you posted after I try.

I am a newbie myself and just went through the same process. I found two videos to be very helpful:
Qui Robinez, who has several great tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-QtAyf98nQ
And Christoph from korgsounds , who by the way has some awesome soundsets for sale on his website:

Both these videos show the process step by step.
Best of luck!
