I recognized that external Midi will not work with the new 2.5 version - can you please check this. I trigger this with my PC and with the 1.7 it worked fine and I got no sounds with the 2.5.
I don't understand what you mean with external midi.-
I test it with my controller Oxygen 88 and all works fine.-
If what you mean is midi file, i cant help you, because i use PA600 to reproduce this type of files; in some cases if i need a background sound i play and MP3 file.-
I suggest you to post on dopamine4korg your issue.-
Although i'll try to play some midi files to check what happens.-
With regards.

I play midifiles on my pc with midifile optimizer - with set 1.7 it plays fine on my key, with 2.5 it doesn´t play - i´ll check the difference in the midi settings and will come back to you with the information.
I've check, and there was no problem with Dopamine 2.5 and midi files.-
I've check with 2 different midi files version SFM & SFM1, and both was reproduce OK.-
As i told you, i don't use any midi file to be played directly on keyboard; take in count that play midi files means use polyphony in extreme.-
I convert midi paragraph i need to MP3, and play MP3 on keyboard.-
Another thing you must take in count is that any midi file you modify using keyboard internal (ROM or RAM files) may not be right reproduce on other players.-
Generally standard midi files were designed to reproduce GM sounds; if you apply Korg sounds code to a midi files, those codes won't be recognized by most Midi Players.-
For playing high quality midi files i use an old hardware made by Roland in tandem with several sound modules; the hardware is MC50 mkii; although to match sounds and efects with my Triton rack module, i tweak midi file with Anvil Studio a software developed specifically to manipulate in deep any SMF (standard midi file).-
Returning to your issue, Dopamine 2.5 - in my case - works fine with SMF.-
Hopping this clear the point, with regards. Eduardo

Hello,
As the Dopamine sets don't include GLOBAL folder and files, there's absolutely no change done to your MIDI configuration, whatever the versions.
To Wittid:
Did you unprotect the factory styles and pads just before loading the Dopamine set ?
Did you load the whole set or just some parts ?
Especially, did you load the User Sounds ?
If you didn't, it's possible that some midi channels are assigned to a user voice where the sound is not present. Please check again and tell me. I'll be happy to help you.

Many Factory banks were not full in styles and pads, so in Dopamine, I filled these banks with other styles. So yes, you'll get a big benefit to unprotect the factory pads and styles.
Have a look to the documentation included in the set, especially the excel file, you'll get the full list of the 1200 styles.
Note that for the factory sounds banks, it's not possible to do the same.
