Newbie question: Click track for drummers??

Post by MacBad »

I'm thinking about buying a Roland Krome. But there is one topic which is essential importan for me:

There is only L and R output and no independent outputs. Does it mean that you can’t route a click to a separate output? I need to send a separate click to my drummer when I play a song from a sequencer.

Is that possible?? Any Workarounds??

I've never tried this but wonder if you could use the headphone jack for this? Others might know.

As far as workarounds go - the drummer in one of my bands has to synchronise to a couple of ARPs I use. Rather than send him a click, he has a Roland SPD-SX which he uses to generate a click track, then we just sync up the BPM so we're in time. Works fine.
