some time ago there were official patches for microKORG XL available on website including microkorg or ms2000 sounds.
seems they are not available anymore

Do you refer to the website of Korg themself?
As far as I know, these patches have never been there available as download right away.
But they are still there, though a bit 'hidden'. If you download from the Korg site the sound editor, then you have them. They come as part of it. You will need to install the editor as well to be able to download them to the XL.
